Zanhotel Europa - Bologna

The decor felt outdated, but our room was quite spacious.

We had the guest room which was well laid out and neat with ac & amenities.

Brand-new & exceptional room, with well enough space and free Wi-Fi. Rich, warm breakfast for every taste, had great food. The staff were competent and efficient and assisted with private parking. Quiet ambience.

Recommend for a lightning trip

Friendly staff, clean room, the breakfast selection was extensive and included delicious options like fresh fruit and cakes. It's conveniently located just a short walk from the main train station.

Courteous staff, always with a smile. Hot options for breakfast with croissants and cheese, for instance.

We enjoyed exploring FICO's cool rides dedicated to Fire, Earth, and more. The historic building added charm to our stay. The staff were super friendly. Breakfast was a treat with a wide variety of delicious foods.

My kids wished for a larger bathroom.

The kindness of all the staff, the charming reception people, even helped us to find a place to eat by calling several restaurants themselves as it was a little late. The breakfast was very varied and good. The cleaning was quite good. The comfortable beds even the extra bed had a good mattress. The bathroom adapted for reduced mobility is perfect, as in few places I have seen. The location of the hotel is very good because in 10 minutes you are in the center and about 3 minutes more or less in the train station Bologna Central, perfect for visiting nearby cities. The hotel as a whole is very good. I would come back.

The only thing I didn't like was that in the adapted room there is a piece of furniture at the entrance to the room that prevents wide wheelchairs from passing through.

Everything is very good. I would recommend this hotel for somebody who wants to stay by the railway station. For visiting the city and its monuments I would personally prefer to stay in the center.

Internet is not free.

The location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from the main train station and close to historical squares. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds, and the staff were kind. The breakfast had a decent selection and was reasonably priced at the reception.

The granduer of the restored public rooms in green, gold and white marble. The pleasant but formal staff and their efficiency. The bedrooms (standard quality hotel rooms) which were much nicer than a previous reviewer had warned. (Perhaps they expected all the bedrooms to be in the coloured marble as well)!

€10 euro charge for wifi was steep

This place suits me perfectly! It has great wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a bar/lounge area. Definitely coming back for a city break!

The stay was Ok , The breakfast was good however, the room was small. I fell in the shower as they had no mat on the floor and broke my middle finger. Did they care ? no!! It was a short walk from the train station . Small elevator elegent lobby . Would I stay there again based on your infomation you provided? No. Respectfuly John Valente

Cost and accomodations. The room was small. Not the best location for price.

In the rooms they provide wireless internet, however only one hour is free of charge per day.
